Danny Dyszelski Holds Championship Lead as Season Finale Approaches

It all comes down to this weekend. The fight for the Blue Marble Radical Cup North America Pro 1500 class championship has been a back-and-forth battle between WISKO Racing’s Danny Dyszelski and his main rival Nick Persing. Traveling to the Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca for the final three wheel-to-wheel races of 2023, the winner-take-all all-event weekend will be one for the ages.

Dyszelski leads the championship heading into the last three rounds of the season after two wins and a runner-up podium result at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) two weeks ago. Only a small margin of a single point separates the two young racers and Dyszelski is hoping to get a jump at the start of the weekend.

“The team and I fully are focused on the championship this weekend,” explained Dyszelski. “Every single point matters. Our goal is to start off strong, get the first pole position of the weekend, and just try and stay ahead of the competition. It all comes down to this one weekend.”

Coming off the USF Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires season finale at Portland International Raceway, Dyszelski, leveling up from his former USF2000 stint this season, tried his hand at the higher class and produced some impressive results. After a tough crash in the first race due to no fault of his own, Danny fought his way back up to 12th in race two and eventually broke into the top-ten in race three, closing out the weekend in ninth.

“I’m feeling energized after being in the car this past weekend,” added Danny, who is only one of a few drivers in North America who is competing in both open-wheel and sportscar events in 2023. “The seat time will only help me in my goals for this weekend. Win or lose, I’m proud of what WISKO Racing and I have accomplished this year.”

You can catch Danny fight for the Pro 1500 class title at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca September 8-10 for the Blue Marble Radical Cup North America series 2023 season finale.
