VPX MOTORSPORT ANNOUNCES 2026 IMSA MICHELIN PILOT CHALLENGE PROGRAM WITH DANNY DYSZELSKI AND MATHEUS LEIST

Charlotte, North Carolina — December 16, 2025 — VPX Motorsport today announced its debut in the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, fielding the No. 7 Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport with rising star Danny Dyszelski and accomplished Brazilian racer Matheus Leist sharing driving duties. The program marks a significant step for the Charlotte-based organization as it graduates from GT4 sprint competition into IMSA’s ultra-competitive multi-class endurance platform.

The 2026 campaign follows VPX Motorsport’s first full-season effort in the 2025 Pirelli GT4 America Championship, where the team ran a Silver class pairing with Dyszelski and Alex Ellis. Building on the technical and strategic foundations established in GT4 America, VPX will now bring its Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport to the Michelin Pilot Challenge grid, competing in the GS category.

At just 17 years old in 2025, Dyszelski delivered a standout season with VPX, earning 11 podium finishes across the Porsche Sprint Challenge and Pirelli GT4 America championships. His 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge program will represent his first full campaign in IMSA competition, positioning him as one of the youngest emerging talents in the GT4 ranks.

“I’m super excited to make my debut in IMSA Pilot Challenge, can’t think of a better team to do this with than VPX Motorsport,” said Dyszelski. “I’m very grateful to have a co-driver as talented as Matheus and cannot wait to see how this season goes!”

“I’m very excited to join VPX for a full season in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. We share a long-term vision and a strong commitment to building something successful together. I’m looking forward to teaming up with Danny for this championship and pushing for a very competitive year with multiple wins and podiums,” said Leist.

Leist joins VPX Motorsport with an impressive résumé that spans open-wheel and sports car racing at the highest levels. He is best known for winning the 2016 BRDC British Formula 3 Championship and capturing the prestigious 2017 Indy Lights Freedom 100 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Leist advanced to the NTT IndyCar Series with AJ Foyt Racing, making two Indianapolis 500 starts before transitioning to sports car competition. Since then, he has raced in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with JDC-Miller MotorSports and most recently competed in the Pirelli GT4 America Championship with NOLASPORT.

Team Principal and owner Vince Partap emphasized how the pairing aligns with VPX Motorsport’s long-term vision. He noted that the combination of Leist’s proven experience and Dyszelski’s rapid development reflects the team’s commitment to cultivating elite driver talent while competing for strong results on track. Partap added that Leist shares VPX’s belief that a small, highly focused organization can deliver exceptional performance through a meticulous and data-driven approach to racing.

The partnership brings together a seasoned veteran and an emerging young driver, creating a compelling narrative as Leist takes Dyszelski under his wing for the team’s inaugural IMPC season. With the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport providing a proven GT4 platform, VPX Motorsport enters 2026 with a clear focus on consistency, racecraft, and continuous performance gains across the calendar.
